We've found a new home for our monthly series! Re-boot: Honky Tonk Heaven will be at The Golden Bull in downtown Oakland on the 4th Sunday of each month, beginning January 2020. We'll be kicking things off with the return of The Bear Flag Trio (Jan.), local favorites Velvetta (Feb.), and a rare appearance of the elusive femme-fronted Neil Young cover band, Kneel (Mar). The shows will still be no cover (tips encouraged).
Crying Time's long-running series moves into its new home at The Golden Bull in January 2020. The series has showcased some of the best country and honky tonk artists around, including The Muddy Roses, Moonshine Maybelline, Laura Benitez and the Heartache, Nashville Honeymoon, Velvetta, the Bear Flag Trio, the Bitter Diamonds, and many more. The scene has grown into a monthly gathering place for musicians, listeners, and dancers. The drinks are strong, the music is great, and there's never a cover charge!
